Wow, they've messed my shifts up at work. Got a few days off it seems. hmm...
Lazy day it is then! =D
I have pretty much spent all day just playing video games, needed to forget about life issues and problems and just get lost into some wild and exciting worlds! Started off playing some FFVII for a good few hours and finally got my hands on my brother's xbox and played stranger's wrath for the first time. Me and my bro have ALWAYS been huge fans of game developers Oddworld Inhabitants, so it was dissapointing to us when we heard Munch's oddysee and stranger's wrath we're both exclusive to the original xbox, Much was one of the main reasons we wanted a PS2. However we've grown up since then, earned some cash and maneged to get hold of some second hand copies and an old xbox to play them on. Stranger's Wrath is absolutly brilliant, they really got the oddworld feel in there alright (Which I feel lacked quite a bit in Munch due to the draw distance, and scale of the game) and as an animator student, love how they brought the stanger character to life. Realising that I'm getting impressions just playing the first 25 minutes, it definately showing good signs for being one of my top faves!
Right I'm tired, might have to do this again tomorow, or get on with some more animation. take carez!

ARTWORKZ! ^_^
My little movie project sort of came to a halt 2 weeks ago, got my job back for the summer hols. So far they got me on the tills, it's slow, it's long, it sucks. However I have been trying to keep my skills and creative juices full up to the rim and got some stuff up on deviantart. In case your a little lazy I'll put some of the latest concepts up on here:

Working + Oddworld
A little bit of a delay since my last post, but I've been very busy, like the busy bee kind which could sting you and give you aids...
That went too far, ANYWAYS I've been hard at work on my little personal project for the summerz, keep my brain going and not get enticed with my recent purchase of a certain Final Fantasty VII on the PSN last week (that game can eat your soul, but not as majourly as World of Warcraft).
It's great to move back home for the summer and get my desk reorganised aswell:
It may look neat, but eventually it will be coved with junk food and coke glasses. =P
OH! and I recently got a myself "The Art of Oddworld" book cheap from amazon:

Right, I'm off to get some BBQ foodiums, I was gonna write up a whole blog on my marathon playthrough of Metal Gear Solid (1 - 4) which I did recently with my brother and flatmate aswell today but I think I may leave it for another time. See you all soon!

Animation Degree show!
Earlier today I took my brtother and mate Matt up to Lincoln's Odeon cinema for the 2009 animation degree show, have to say it really was brilliant!
It was a really weird experince to see work i've had glimpes of finished and on the big screen, I'm right in guessing it was totally different for the third years. I'm pretty sure this was a first for the course, so many people turned up! Nearly filled up the seats pretty much, we really should do this every year from now on. maybe make it more like the producer's show that Calarts set up, have to get some ideas over to the lectures for next year.
Maybe do something like this for the introduction?:
Anyway it really was a great show and gives us first years something to look up to, well done you guys!

First Post!
Hey everyone, And welcome to my blog
After finishing my work and blog for my animation course I thought I should start one for my own mystical creations and emotions. These things really give you something to look back at and improve I can tell ya! So without further or do let's get started with my first post:
A few weeks before the deadline for my last assignment I'd been pondering the idea for not only a great visual flash animation but getting my skills up to a standard in both animation and action script. So since finishing for summer a few weeks back I've been getting concept art and any ideas down on paper, I don't want to reveal anything yet but I'll just say it will be a trilogy which will be a reflection of what I have learnt from the past year at university. I'll hopefully get some artwork up asap, but for now you'll just have to wait for it. =]
As well as that I went out with my brother earlier today to just look for some cheap stuff out in Lincoln, I went ahead and bought some music:
I've only listen to about 3-5 songs of theres and I do have some friends who have said these were rubbish. Well I thought (parden the language) "Fuck 'em! I liked what I heard." and they are unbelievably awesome! definately something I can work to, get my pace going if I'm working on something epic and fast pace.
Well, that's it i think, until my next post of course.
